Dieses hochwertige Spezialglas, das in Deutschland seit ca. 1850 in der Glasaugenherstellung bekannt ist, wird in der Farbglashütte Lauscha hergestellt. Nach wie vor erweist sich Kryolith-Glas im Bereich der Augenprothetik als äußerst vorteilhaft, da es frei von jeglichen Bleigehalt ist. Diese Eigenschaft garantiert wegen der sehr widerstandsfähigen Oberfläche des künstlichen Auges gegenüber der stark ätzenden Tränenflüssigkeit eine optimale Schleimhaut Verträglichkeit.
